Food Hall

Inspired by the fantastic food and drink produced in Lancashire and the North West, our new food hall celebrates all that is great about our local produce.

As part of our offering, our shelves are stacked with only the freshest seasonal fruit and vegetables, a fabulous selection of cakes, biscuits and snacks, a wide variety of jams and chutneys, plenty for your pantry, and a huge range of fresh and frozen ready meals. Within the food hall, we are also opening our own butchery in partnership with McRobbs Family Butchers, a wine store in partnership with Norvines Wine merchant and a large deli, serving a broad range of fresh pies, delicious cooked meats and a huge variety of carefully selected cheeses.

One major focus of our food hall is to bring the community spirit back to your food shop. We feel like modern supermarkets are often very impersonal places, and we are keen to ensure that the Foodhall at Birkacre is a very friendly environment, where staff and customers can share advice, recommendations and recipes. Our Butcher and Deli counters will both be manned at all times and staff will always be at hand on the shop floor should you need advice or assistance.

As a Reward Club member, you will of course also benefit from 5% cashback in vouchers on all purchases made in the food hall, including purchases on products from Norvines and McRobbs.

Our new Butchery is run by the very talented team at J McRobbs Butchers. Sharing our focus on quality, locality and service, J McRobbs has long been a staple of the local community and we are all very proud to have them be part of the Birkacre team. 

 

Norvines at Birkacre

Whether you are a connoisseur of fine wines, or looking to broaden your horizons past the humdrum offering of the supermarket, we are sure you will find what you are looking for in our new wine shop. Natalie at Norvines has a great passion and knowledge for fine wines, and brings with her a fabulous selection of wines from around the world. Look out for wine tasting events in the near future.

 

The Deli at Birkacre

This really is the place to embrace the fine quality foods of our region. Form delicious pies and cheeses, to fresh cooked meats from McRobbs, there is plenty on offer from our deli counter. As well as local favourites, we will also source only the very best produce from further afield.

 

Fruit and Vegetables

 

Fresh from Roby Mill Farm in Up-Holland, our fruit and veg offering will focus on seasonality and freshness. We might not stock everything, but we can guarantee that it will be in season and locally sourced!

 

Ready Meals

 

For those days where you need a helping hand in the kitchen, we are proud to stock a huge range of frozen ready meals from Cook and fresh ready meals made in house by McRobbs.
